Public Health Alert
· For all the recipients, please make sure to check-in at the front. If you can, make sure your email and address is correct so you can be included in all future correspondence from LVHFoundation.
· Face mask will be required regards whether you have been vaccinated, this follows guidelines implemented by CDC.
· All recipients will be limited to one guest to maintain social distancing.
· Every attendee will be asked to review and sign the COVID-19 waiver upon arriving
Actions to allow for In-Person gathering
· We will make every effort to provide a safe environment for all recipients and guest. However, this requires that everyone do their part to make this gathering as safe as possible, including: wearing a well-fitted masks that covers your mouth and nose especially when talking, maintain at least 6 feet distance from those outside your cohort (those who don’t live with), getting test and isolating if you are ill, complying with additional health protocols.
· People at risk for severe illness from COVID-19 – such as unvaccinated older adults and unvaccinated people with health risks – and those who live with or care for them are urged to defer from participating in this gathering.
· Every table and chairs will be sanitized upon arrival
· Individual sealed snacks with bottled refreshments will be available
· Hand sanitizers and gloves will be provided at various locations
When can I apply?
Applications for 2024 are open from March 15, 2024 and will close April 30, 2024.
Do I have to be Korean-American to apply?
Yes. Our foundation caters to the Korean-American Catholic community, and therefore we consider submissions only from confirmed Korean-American Catholics who are senior students in high school or are in college. We also accept applications from Korean-Americans attending a Catholic seminary in Orange County, California.
How much are the scholarships?
We award $2,000 to the candidates. For seminary students, we award $1,000 to each recipient.
What if I miss the application deadline? When is the next window?
We accept the candidates' statements after appointed personally by the Southern California Korean Catholic community priests. We will post updates to our website if/as things change.
